Our new paper about high-pressure AC calorimetry is now published in Rev. Sci. Instrum.
Calorimetry is a powerful technique to detect endotherms and exotherms associated with phase transitions of materials. We have developed a system using a piston-cylinder apparatus that enables calorimetric measurements up to 2.1 GPa at temperatures below room temperature. Our system is not only limited to solid materials but is also capable of measuring liquids.
