New paper about the hydrogen ordering in ice IV
New publication
Our paper reporting the first crystallographic evidence for a hydrogen-ordered state corresponding to ice IV has been published at J. Phys. Chem. Lett. We detected evidence for a weak hydrogen-ordering phase transition in DCl-doped ice IV using in-situ neutron diffraction methods at PLANET beamline in MLF/J-PARC.

New review on neutron diifraction and ice polymorphs
New publication
A review article on high-pressure neutron diffraction experiments and ice polymorphs authored by Associate Professor Kazuki Komatsu has been published in Crystallography Reviews. At least 20 polymorphs exist in ice, and most of the polymorphs discovered since the beginning of this century have been identified by high-pressure neutron diffraction experiments. Recent progress on ice polymorph's studies is inseparable from the progress of high-pressure neutron diffraction techniques, which have made remarkable progress in recent years.

New publication on detailed crystal-structure analysis of ice VII
New publication
A paper first-authored by Dr. Yamashita (currently a post-doc researcher in University of Innsbruck) is now open on PNAS. We elucidated unique local structure and atomic distribution in ice VII through neutron diffraction.
